Ziyahlanjwa is a Xhosa word for "they are being washed" The business was founded by Sivu Mongo and her husband Justice. They conducted comprehensive market research in their immediate community that indicated a dire need for a laundry service where customers can drop off and collect their laundry, offering their clients a convenient service that allows them to save time and money and clean laundry at affordable prices.It is this couple’s mission to provide their clients with excellent services and by so doing grow a sustainable community business. The laundry is run by Sivu and Justice Mongo. It was started by Sivu after she worked as an admin clerk and as an events assistant. She realised the need for the service and built the business that currently employs 8 people.To ensure that she was able to run her business efficiently, Sivu enrolled herself in a small business management course at Stellenbosch University and achieved top marks. She was also a proud finalist of a local business competition that is run by the Black Business Chamber. They have an honest team that makes sure that the service is done professionally and faster.
